Patrick is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and Fellow of the Institute of Acoustics (FIOA) who graduated in 1986 in Electroacoustics from the University of Salford. He specialises in architectural acoustics, large-scale planning projects and expert testimony services and is a founding member of the Expert Witness Institute (MEWI).
Patrick holds post-graduate qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and Cranfield Business School and trained with BBC TV and Radio before joining the Salex Group of Noise Control Companies. He then spent 12 years at Spectrum Acoustics Consultants as Head of Architectural and Building Acoustics before forming Cass Allen in 2000.
He formed Opera Omnia Productions in 1993 to allow him to develop his filmmaking and sound recording interests alongside his acoustics work and the synergy between acoustic design and media production has proved invaluable on many performing arts projects. Patrick is also a director of Hazard Chase Artist Management.
Outside work his main interests are sailing, kayaking and cycling.
