Corporate Social Responsibility
We are always pleased to be involved in the community outside of business and to provide specialist and/or financial help where we can.
The George Tavern
One example is the George Tavern which is a popular live-music venue in London’s East End. It was threatened with having to stop live music due to proposals to develop a block of flats adjacent to the stage area. Due to the limited funds with which to contest the proposals Cass Allen joined a team of professionals from other disciplines working pro bono to assess the developers proposals.
Following acoustic surveys it became clear that the proposals were unworkable acoustically and Cass Allen gave evidence to this effect at the Planning Hearing. In view of the acoustic problems with the scheme planning permission was refused and the George Tavern continues to be one of the few remaining live music venues in London.

Lenny Trusler Children’s Foundation
We are pleased to support The Lenny Trusler Children’s Foundation as our nominated charity for 2013/14. The Foundation is dedicated to helping provide the relief of serious illness in newborn babies and infants.
The foundation was created by violinists Matthew Trusler and Maya Koch after the death of their baby son from a rare kidney disease in April 2007. Matthew and Maya are clients and friends of Cass Allen and we are delighted to support their current mission to raise money for an incubator for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the Whittington Hospital in London.
Recent fundraising activities include a CD recording of music and poetrty for release on the Orchid Classics label. This features readings by Tom Conti, Simon Pegg and Clive Owen, together with music played by Matthew and Maya accompanied by Martin Roscoe on the piano. Cass Allen provided the recording and editing facilities pro bono.
We also provided pro bono technical services for a concert and charity auction at Cadogan Hall in London. The concert included contributions from many international music stars and also Michael McIntyre as celebrity auctioneer. The photo below shows some of the performers and the photo to the right shows Matthew and Michael backstage after the concert.
